The next stop was Klee’s, the Irish American Mecca of the Barnegat Bay Peninsula. Fearlessly facing a half indifferent rowdy pub crowd, Christian Beach accompanied by his Father Gorgo on Mandolin was simply world class. Few singers sound better in person than on well produced recordings. Christian is one of them. It was surreal watching Klee’s regular patrons surrender to Christian’s captivating voice and vibe. Most of the folks there probably haven’t heard live orginal acoustic music in many, many years and it was gratifying to see some calloused souls infused and nurtured with the spiritual sincerity of Christian’s sound. It was also touching to see a Father and son sharing a stage together.
